The American Library is a public library maintained
as a department of the National
University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Scientific Library. The U.S. Embassy
in Ukraine transferred the library from the America House to the campus of
the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in 1998.
The American Library bears the name of Viktor Kytasty, PhD,
Professor of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, first director
of the America House in Ukraine, and founder of the America House
Library.The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine sponsors the

It's time to go back to school!The American Library at NaUKMA is the place for higher school students to get plenty of back-to-school help, including their most important school supply -- a library card. Students over 16 years of age are welcome to join the Library. Back-to-school time is a great time to spotlight the impressive digital NaUKMA Library collection that is available at the AL workstations. It contains an impressive collection of e-journals and e-books. Library staff will be on hand to demonstrate the Library's many online databases and services, including eLibraryUSA, EBSCO, Oxford Reference Online - Premium Collection, and much more.

Wi-Fi @ the American Library!We are pleased to inform you that the American Library is now Wi-Fi enabled and offers free wireless Internet access to its patrons.You are welcome to bring in your laptop and register at the Circulation Desk for accessing the high speed internet facility. There is no charge for using the Library’s high-speed network connection. You just have to be the Library member to use it. We express our gratitude to U.S. Embassy Kyiv for funding this facility! |
